Micro-tubules & EB3 Helpers

February 4, 2026

This poster shows a three-dimensional model of microtubules and their associated EB3 proteins, giving college-level microbiology students a clearer view of this dynamic process.

EB3, part of the microtubule plus-end tracking protein family, binds specifically to growing microtubule ends, helping them grow straight and connect to key cellular regions like the cell cortex or synapses. By recruiting other regulatory proteins, EB3 helps control microtubule behavior, a relationship the 3D model makes more intuitive than a static diagram.
