This project is a one-page magazine spread depicting the four stages of wound repair: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling.
This magazine spread was developed to communicate a complex physiological mechanism, such as wound repair, in a clear way to non-specialist readers while retaining scientific accuracy appropriate for a science focused publication. It includes a series of illustrations showing wound progression and tissue recovery, explanatory body text to educate the reader about the topic, and a data element providing a timeline of wound healing.
This piece was designed for visual clarity and educational impact. Special attention was payed to setting up the graphic design before any illustrative assets were added. The data element was designed to blend seamlessly into the overall composition.
