This editorial spread was created to explore the personal experience of living with OCD, paired with a personal account article reflecting on the cycle of the disorder and what I've learned from it.
I designed the spread around a central oval representing the "circuit," with six small circles intersecting it, each one representing a different stage of the OCD cycle. Rather than laying the stages out in a straight line, this circular structure reflects how the disorder actually functions, recurring and self-reinforcing rather than resolving. The written piece walks through this cycle in my own words alongside what I've come to understand about it.
The design of this spread was meant to be approachable, honest, and clear, accessible to readers who are simply curious about OCD as well as those who are diagnosed and may see their own experience reflected in it.
